| Steven Miller and Carol Wilcoxson
comprise
the Napa Valley musical group
Quiet Nights, a
sensitive
Jazz and Latin duo of piano with softly played drums and
percussion. Classically trained, and a life-long pianist with wide-ranging experience that includes Jazz, Cabaret, Popular Classics and Sacred Music, Carol has been pleasing audiences with solo and ensemble piano performances for decades. She is also an author, holding a masters degree from Southern Methodist University, and is a ranking member of the American Piano Teachers Guild. Her recent book release, No Record Of Wrongs, co-authored with Don Olson of Napa, California, is available here. Visit her on Facebook. |
Steven's custom drum set mixes Latin Conga Drums and other Latin percussion instruments with traditional jazz "traps" and cymbals to compliment many musical styles. Steven's prior engagements include the pioneering and leading-edge San Francisco Bay Area intuitive music groups Tabula Rasa and Neon Egypt, plus hundreds of jazz groups, large and small from coast to coast. This gives the group amazing versatility, allowing jazz, classical themes, show tunes and romantic ballads to rest easily with Argentine Tangos, Cha-Chas, Brazilian Sambas and Bossa Novas. California Wine Country audiences enjoy a wide range of musical flavors from a single Quiet Nights performance. And it's always a good time, as Steve and Carol entertain beyond the music when appropriate, with bits of music history, stories, humor, and vignettes. That's why Quiet Nights has become a wine country entertainment favorite! |
